Strategic Plan
Phyllis Wheatley Community Center developed it's last full strategic plan, "A Compass for the Future and a Call to Action," to span the period of 2003-2006. The strategic plan was revisted and updated in 2006 with key areas of focus through 2009 identified as:
FACILITY
Improve Community Center and Camp Katharine Parsons facilities to meet the needs of 21st century families. For more information on capital plans, see A Bright Future.
IMAGE
Increase visibility and share stories to illustrate impact, effectiveness and benefit to the community to validate organization and its programs. This is done in conjunction with efforts of Northside Marketing Task Force to demonstrate that North Minneapolis is a desirable place to work, learn, volunteer, play and live.
RESOURCE DIVERSITY
Broaden and strengthen the diversity of agency and program support to ensure critical programming continues to benefit the community.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Attract and retain high quality staff and volunteers to optimally operate the center and its programs and services to best benefit the community.
ADAPTING PROGRAMS
Strengthen mission driven program and evaluation design to ensure relevance, responsiveness and results.
