As a nonprofit United Way community partner, Phyllis Wheatley Community Center receives one-third of its funding from the Greater Twin Cities United Way. The remaining funding comes from government entities, corporate and foundation grants and individual gifts. Phyllis Wheatley Community Center welcomes your donation of goods or services. Gently used clothing, nonperishable food items, new and unopened cosmetic and personal hygiene items and other goods are appreciated and needed by our clients. Similarly, we gladly accept donations of services such as technical assistance and welcome guest speakers for our many youth and adult programs.
