Programs at Phyllis Wheatley are based on a family strength model, a holistic approach to engage people in decision making that empowers them within the context of family and community. Phyllis Wheatley uses research and outcome-based strategies to help individuals and families achieve the results they desire. Phyllis Wheatley programs represent a vision that is formed around its storied history and adapted to meet the needs of the diverse community it serves today.
Since 1924, PWCC has helped more than 200,000 men, women and children discover their strengths and develop the leadership skills they need to succeed in family and community. Today PWCC provides tens of thousands of hours of education and leadership development services annually through our Early Childhood Development, Youth Development and Family Strengthening programs.
